Bring Your Well-Behaved Pet Along
We
are pet lovers and have dogs of our own. In order to achieve harmony
amongst our guests, we have certain pet rules. Our pet policies are
much the same as at most pet friendly inns:
NO SICK PETS ALLOWED
.pets must be pre-approved.
.pets must be leashed at ALL times when outside the room.
.pets are not allowed in the garden room, even on leash.
.pets are not allowed on the east patios, even on leash.
.pets must be quiet in the rooms.
.pets must be attended at all times.
.pets are NOT allowed on the furniture or the beds --bring your own doggie bed along.
.pets must not be left alone in the room.
.we
do make an exception for pets left alone in the room, ONLY if the dog
has been crate trained and the owner puts the dog in its crate. When
you leave your room, crate your dog and lock your interior door.
.walk
your pets on the street or across the street on the vacant lots. Do not
let them use the garden area and plants. Please do not consider the
garden area as your pets private kennel area.
.pets must be on flea protection (Advantage or a flea collar).
.your pet must be on heartgard medication.
.pets must be current on vaccinations and copies must be sent in advance.
.doggie beds are available at $2.00 per day.
.dog crates are available for $2.50 per day.
.shaded outdoor kennels with insulated dog houses are available at $3.00 per day. gates must be kept locked.
.pet deposit of $50 cash. if there is no damage, this cash deposit will be returned at checkout.
GUIDE
DOGS. No guide dog will be charged any extra fees. They are welcome
anytime. No vaccination records will be required. It is that a guide
dog will be with it's owner at all times.
A recent survey showed
the standard, overwhelming "pet peeve" of innkeepers when allowing
dogs, was that they leave their dogs alone in the rooms when they
should not. Many innkeepers say that even though guests told them the
dog would be quiet, the dog barked constantly.
Another problem
was that some dogs (even normally well-behaved dogs)got scared and were
destructive to the room, like chewing or scratching on the door.
